What is He Up Too…?

Hello blogosphere and those people (if any) who still read this (of late) neglected blog.  It has been an interesting season in my life lately.  For me, I have been in this season of resolve where God is finding out if I am going to walk forward and maintain my faith when He is not [...]

The Recent Happenings

No, I was not killed in a dual with a blogger or anything like that.  Life seems to have been living me lately, instead of me living life.  How I long for a place of rest away from the turmoil and strife of this world.  A lull in the battle between good and evil.  A [...]

The Glory of His Presence

Last night I went to church to pick up my sister after the service.  (I went to church Sun. morning and played the piano for the worship.)  I got there and went inside and peeked into the youth pastor’s office and saw her praying with a bunch of other girls.  Resigning myself to wait awhile [...]

Joy? Faith?… In a trial?

How many of you are going through (or have been in) a very trying in your life.  You may have tension in your relationships, anger and bitterness, or confusion about why you are going through difficulty.  I will be the first to confess I don’t have all the answers.  It makes so much sense for [...]

Job Training Update

Very briefly, I wanted to let you all know that I survived the training ordeal.  I almost entitled this post, “My Glimpse of Hell.”  You know, fire, brimstone, etc.  The spray we use contains 1,000,000 Schovial Heat Units, and let’s just say, “You definitely do not want to be maced.”  The worst part was the [...]

Job Training

This Friday night/Saturday morning I will be completing levels 1 and 2 training for my job.  I will be learning (amongst other things) radio communication, handcuffing, and mace and baton training.  I will learn self-defense moves, approaches, etc.  For this type of training, one of the experienced officers gets into a “red suit” and you [...]

A Job at Last

Well, here I am sitting in a car getting paid to write this post and listen to Pandora Radio.  Yeah, you can’t beat this.  My new job is in security.  I work for a local company and I am pulling all night shifts this week.  I think I am really going to like this job [...]

First Car and Job Search

Last Friday I purchased my first car.
Specifications:
Make: Ford
Model: Mustang
Year: 2000
Engine: 3.8l V6 engine (190 hp)
Transmission: Manual
Color: Green
I was able to get a good deal on the car and pay for it without going into debit.  (I saved my graduation money and what I made during the summer.)

Stopping for gas on the way back home…

… still [...]

Working Full Time

I recently started working full time with my dad. I have worked with him many times in the past when we had a different business, but I’ve never worked for weeks solid, day after day. So this is a new experience for me, the 5:30 in the morning stuff, 8 hour days, welcome to the [...]

Intermission- Squirrel for Dinner, Anyone?

Intermission: Squirrel for Dinner, Anyone?
I thought I’d do an intermission between my posts on “Culture and Christianity.”
This is a rather light topic, a hunting trip.
On Saturday small game season was open here in Georgia. We went to Clay Hole Swamp, a wild life management area, which is on part of the Altamaha River. There’s a [...]
